One of my favorite spots on Gothic Road is Judd Falls, which is located just a short hike away from the road. The waterfall provides a stunning backdrop for photos and creates a peaceful ambiance for a couple to exchange vows.

Emerald Lake:

Emerald Lake is a hidden gem in the Crested Butte area that offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere for an intimate elopement. Emerald Lake is a crystal-clear alpine lake surrounded by tall mountain peaks. This provides a picturesque setting for any couple looking for a quiet and romantic ceremony spot.

Paradise Basin:

If you’re looking for a location that offers panoramic views of the mountains during your Crested Butte elopement, Paradise Basin is the place to go. The area offers a variety of hiking trails and meadows that make for beautiful photo backdrops. Some of the hikes are a bit more challenging than others, but they’re well worth the effort for the stunning views you’ll experience at the end.

Yule Pass Trailhead at Paradise Basin:

One of my favorite laid-back hikes at Paradise Basin is Yule Pass Trail, which has a beautiful alpine lake with a great view of the surrounding peaks. This trail is perfect for your elopement in Crested Butte if the road to Emerald Lake is inaccessible at certain times of the year.

Washington Gulch:

Washington Gulch is another stunning location in Crested Butte that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The area is perfect for capturing the beauty of the mountains, and the sunset views are breathtaking. This location is easily accessible by car, making it a great option for couples who want a scenic location without having to hike.

Wedding Venues In Crested Butte:

If you’re looking for a ceremony site to host a larger group of guests (say 20 to 50 of your closest friends and family.) Both of these ceremony sites are owned by the Crested Butte Land Trust, and require a reservation to host a ceremony.

Wood Walk:

Wood Walk is a popular hiking trail in Crested Butte that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail offers a variety of scenic backdrops, including aspen groves, wildflowers, and mountain streams. The location is easily accessible and perfect for hosting a larger number of guests.

Peanut Lake:

Peanut Lake offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere for an intimate ceremony with friends and family. The area is easily accessible by car, making it a great option for couples who want a scenic location without having to hike.
