Rain & Monsoon Season:

Colorado weather is crazy, and varies across different seasons and altitudes. June through August is known as monsoon season in Colorado. Heavy rain can pop up out of nowhere, and can cause road closures or flooding depending on where you are. Luckily, most times the rain moves out as quickly as it moves in. One minute it’s there, the next it’s clear skies again. 

Snow & High Altitudes: 

In higher altitudes, snow can first appear around Mid-October, and sometimes linger until late July. During those months, high mountain roads are closed, and aren’t able to be traversed. If you plan on having your elopement at a higher altitude for stunning photos, it’s best to wait until the Summer months.
