I absolutely loved my time as Taylor and Jamey’s Colorado elopement photographer during their bohemian inspired West Alluvial elopement in Rocky Mountain National Park! Being able to be the one to guide them on this awesome adventure and to document all the adventurous and romantic moments so they can cherish them forever is something that I will forever hold close to my heart!
Although I love photographing and exploring epic landscapes with the amazing couples I have the opportunities to work with, I enjoy helping my couples plan the adventurous Colorado elopement of their dreams! When I first met with Taylor and Jamey over Zoom, they told me all about their goals for their big day and I immediately fell in love with vision!
After spending lots of time working together and numerous planning sessions, everything came together and it was perfect! I was so hyped for when the day came that I would hop onto a non-stop flight to Denver to participate in their adventurous celebration of their marriage!
For their Rocky Mountain National Park elopement, we settled on West Alluvial for their ceremony and couples portrait session! The green and golden hue in the open meadow matched the colors of their bohemian vibe perfectly, really allowing the couple the pop from the background while their attire matched the setting!
After exchanging intimate and heartwarming vows at the West Alluvial ceremony site, the couple and I wandered out into the open meadow for their portraits. It was a beautiful, warm sunny day and everything came together perfectly! The warm sun provided a warm, alpenglow to the colorful background as it peaked just above the mountains towering over them. We first started with portraits in front of the running stream and rocky bank that runs through the meadow. Taylor and Jamey were still riding their just married in the Colorado Rockies high, so immediately they forgot about the camera and indulged in sharing an intimate moment with one another.
After about 30 minutes of portraits, I began to capture a few individual bridal portraits of Taylor in her stunning gown from Olivia’s Gowns and a few quick individual portraits of Jamey lookin spiffy in his suit.
As the sun began to set below the mountain peaks, we turned our attention to the grass meadow to the left (if you’re facing the big mountains) of the stream. The colors here turned from a blush green to more a golden hue, it was beautiful!
We ended our time together documenting these special memories they will cherish forever until it became too dark to continue photographing! To say Taylor and Jamey’s adventurous Rocky Mountain National Park was amazing is an understatement. A huge thank you to this amazing couple for choosing me to be their Colorado elopement photographer, it was truly an incredible opportunity to witness and document this union!
