I absolutely loved my time as Danielle & Kyle’s Indiana wedding photographer, documenting every single joyous and emotional moment during their incredible wedding at The Barn at Willow Lake in North Vernon, Indiana! 

My relationship with this amazing couple started two years before they said, “I do” in October 2022 at the Willow Lake Event Center. Nothing is more powerful than when the right couple meet the right photographer to narrate their love story. When we hopped onto the phone together for the first time, I could feel the love the two of these shared, and I was so excited to be their Kentucky wedding photographer and to be a part of telling their story. 

The day started bright and early; it was a beautiful, sunny fall day. The autumn foliage was glowing, a light fresh breeze floated through the air, and joyous laughter filled the venue. 

I first started documenting Kyle’s prep in the venue’s beautiful chapel. The chapel features stunning interior design, perfect for composition in photographs and tall windows, allowing tons of soft natural light to flow into the room. In the winter, the chapel is also perfect as an  indoor winter wedding venue in Indiana. 

Kyle and all his groomsmen looked killer in their suits, and they all laughed and enjoyed the morning as we took portraits of them all together. 

As the amazing Ashley White was applying the finishing touches on Danielle’s makeup, we spent some time taking shots of the beautiful tablescapes and decor that filled the barn. They were stunning and so well done, I won’t be able to get these detail images out of my mind for a long time! 

Once the last of Danielle’s makeup was finished, I joined up with the bridal party as Danielle slipped into her beautiful gown by The Wedding Studio in Greenwood, Indiana! As the dress was being buttoned, Danielle and her mother shared a powerful moment together as her mother saw her daughter in her dress on her wedding day. The mother of the groom then helped her with her necklace, and the maid of honor then helped with her veil. 

Before the couple’s first look, the bridal party and I slipped out into a clearing against the treeline where the sun was beaming down, which was perfect for photographing just how beautiful Danielle was, and highlighting the joy that was on her bridesmaids faces during the bridal party session. 

Finally the moment had come! Kyle’s reaction to seeing his soon-to-be wife in her dress was so heartwarming, and with it came so many more beautiful moments as they shared their private vows with one another.

After the beautiful ceremony, the couple and I were able to quietly slip away before the reception for some intimate golden hour couples photos. After many laughs and lots of kisses, it was time for the party to begin! Great food, heart-gripping speeches, and slick dance moves was the vibe for the night! Higher Love Entertainment was the heart of the party, and damn did they do a good job! 

The entire day was full of love, joy, and so many wholesome moments, it was such an incredible day to be able to have been a part of! Thank you to Danielle & Kyle for choosing me as their Kentucky wedding photographer, and for entrusting me to document their wedding at The Barn at Willow Lake! This will be a day that I won’t forget about for a very, very long time!
