Whitehall is by far one of the best wedding venues in Louisville, and one of my favorites! It’s a 19th-century mansion, completely elegant and renovated with several manicured gardens that you can use for outdoor receptions or ceremonies. The trees provide lots of shade during brighter parts of the day — perfect for photographing ceremonies!
I’m a big fan of courtyard-style ceremony spaces with stone walls, surrounded by lush, green trees. Whitehall weddings provide couples with an elegant look, while still being surrounded by nature — it translates into photographs so well!
The staff at Whitehall Estate & Garden do an excellent job at providing my couples with a top-tier wedding experience and stellar service — in addition to it being beautiful — which is why it’s one of my favorite high-end wedding venues in Louisville!
Gardencourt is also high on my list of unique wedding venues in Louisville, KY. It’s actually part of the Louisville Seminary and is a 1906 Beaux Arts-style home, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places!
You can host your ceremony in the elegant garden courtyard, with a stunning archway and tons of dreamy spots for photos during your ceremony, and romantic couples’ portraits at sunset! It’s conveniently located in Crescent Hill, just near downtown Louisville, so it’s really easy for your guests to have access to lots of lodging and excursions — but it feels like a world away from the city. The inside is so inviting too, with a classic spiral staircase, sparkling chandeliers and tasteful prep rooms with vaulted ceilings. The home actually dates back to 1869 and is awesome for Louisville wedding photography, since it’s such an iconic and well-loved part of the city’s heritage.

I love Yew Dell Botanical Gardens! For Kentucky loft wedding venues, Gheens Barn is an awesome choice — a stunning arched barn loft that looks unbelievable! I also love their Walled Garden and Stone Terrace spaces, as it provides your guests with an elevated and fun experience during cocktail hour. I’m also really into their Holly Allee, a row of gorgeous holly trees that leads guests to the outdoor garden ceremony location (it’s labeled as the Event Lawn on their website)!

Built in 1805, Bradshaw Duncan House is a historic manor home with quintessential Kentucky bluegrass flair. It has been beautifully restored with plenty of modern charm, making it a great choice for a Louisville Kentucky wedding venue!
There’s a large patio with an outdoor space for a reception under the twinkling stars and use of the entire manor house, including the Bourbon Room! Their wedding packages are pretty reasonable and include all-day use of the property, which is great for setup and break-down!
