I absolutely loved my time as Madison and Walt’s Tennessee wedding photographer and it was incredible to witness and to be the one to document their romantic Knoxville wedding at Meadow Mint Farms.
I had the opportunity to meet this incredible couple a year before their wedding during their engagement session with me at Cason’s Cove in the Smoky Mountains. After an incredible time together at the foothill of the Smokies, Madison and Walt wanted to continue our relationship and booked me for their wedding! I knew that these two had such a special relationship, and I was so excited to be a part of capturing and celebrating their union on their wedding day!
From the moment I stepped onto the venue’s property on September 10th, I could feel the love and joy that saturated the atmosphere. The sun was shining and everyone was in high spirits and ready to celebrate.
After meeting their families and friends, I started the day by photographing the beautiful details and decorations that filled the venue’s spacious reception barn. Decorations are such a great way to set the desired mood for a wedding, and the simple and elegant details that Halls Flower Shop put together complimented the venue and the couple’s personalities so well!
After I spent some time with the decor, I met up with Walt and the groomsmen in the groom’s suite for his prep and groomsmen portraits. Walt and all of his groomsmen looked killer in their gray suits, and they all laughed together and enjoyed the morning while I captured them all together.
Around noon Madison and the bridesmaids’ make-up and hair was done; Hair by Victoria and Noela Beauty both did such a great job! Madison looked absolutely stunning during her bridal portraits in her beautiful dress from White Lace and Promises in Knoxville; the natural light that flooded in from the bridal suit’s large window set the perfect atmosphere for photos. Madison’s mother and her bridesmaids’ shared some incredible moments with Madison as they helped her prepare for her first look with Walt.
The clock struck 4 o’clock in the afternoon and it was time for one of the moments they anticipated the most – it was time for their first look!
Meadow Mint has a prime location for an intimate first look; a little grove of trees behind the bridal suite that offers a secluded space from the rest of the venue. Nerves were high but as soon as Walt turned to see his bride, joy took over and time slowed down as the two exchanged a heartwarming moment together.
The two spent the remaining time until the ceremony together enjoying each other’s presence and the presence of their closest friends during their wedding party portraits. Shortly after, Walt stood at the altar as Madison walked the aisle with her father.
After their ceremony, Madison, Walt and I were able to quietly slip away for a brief portrait session as their guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Their couple’s portrait session was full of laughter, infectious smiles, and sneaky kisses; a perfect opportunity for them to slow down and soak up everything that they had experienced throughout the day.
Once we returned to the reception barn, KC Entertainment DJ kicked off the party! After good food and speeches that made every laugh and cry a little, Madison and Walt danced the night away under the stars.
The entire day was full of love, laughter, and an atmosphere of joy that impacted everyone who came. Thank you to Madison and Walt for choosing me as their Tennessee wedding photographer and entrusting me to document their wedding at Meadow Mint Farms in Knoxville!
